How long before the departure time should I check in?

Cars/Vans & Passengers: Vehicles should check-in at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure.  Anyone arriving at check in after this time may be refused permission to embark.

Cars & Passengers with Reduced Mobility:
If you require additional assistance due to reduced mobility such as being positioned closest to the lifts on the ferry then please arrive at check-in at least 60 minutes prior to your scheduled departure.

Cars & Passengers with Pets:  When travelling with pets it is important to allow additional time for check-in when sailing from Calais so that the Pet Scheme checks can be performed. Please arrive 45 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time when sailing with pets from Calais.

Immigration and Customs:  MyFerryLink check-in is located beyond both Border Control and Customs and Excise within the Port of Dover and as such you may be subject to routine stop and search procedures. It is important to note that you will need to consider this factor when deciding when to arrive at the port.
